We are a small family run kennel in Austria. Our first Bullterrier moved in in 2002, we bought her just as a pet, but as she was quite successful on the shows we attended, we decided we anted to breed these wonderful dogs as well.Sadly our girl suffered from Patella Luxation degree 2 on both knees, so we had her spayed and she lives the pleasant lazy life of a couch potatoe now.We imported a red/white male from famous Quest and Action lines in 2004 and half a year later we bought another bitch out of the famous american dog Rocky Top's Sundance Kid.In 2006 we bought another bitch who is doubled on Kearby's Jonah, we try to breed only from the healthiest and most well-known lines. Our dogs are family members, not kennel dogs ! A BT suffers behind kennel barrs, it needs love and a place in the family... When looking for a stud dog for our bitches, we try to find the most suitable dog to complement the bitch's faults. We don't care how far away the stud is, how much the stud fee is, we only care for a quality combination that will improve the breed. Health is a major issue for us, all our breeding stock is tested for hearing, patella, heart and kidneys.These 4 issues are the major problems in BTs, when you look for a BT puppy, please only buy one that is hearing tested and whose parents are tested for hearing, patella, heart and kidneys. A responsible breeder will not mind you asking for the health certificates !!!As mentioned before we want to work with well-known, healthy lines, mostly from UK. Once a year we travel to England for the Open Show to check up on the high quality there and to look out for possible mating partners. Using your own male over and over again is not breeding, we call this producing and breeding for money. Our puppies only go to the perfect new homes, they are of course hearing tested, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and come with EU-petpassport and FCI-pedigree. www.bull-terrier.at
